Student Activities

Hannah More School offers numerous opportunities to students to enrich their academic and therapeutic programs, including:

Clubs/Trips:

Gay/Straight Alliance:  the GSA meets quarterly to hold discussion around making our school safe for all students, including gay, lesbian, and bisexual students.
 
School Trips:  are offered to students to reinforce academic instruction and to reward academic and/or behavior level performance.  Trips include:  museums, an amusement park, and skiing.
 
Student Advisory Council:  meets monthly to give elected student officers and student representatives an opportunity to make recommendations for improvements to campus life.
 
Students Against Destructive Decisions:  meets regularly to encourage students to make healthy choices.  Programs may include guest speakers, Red Ribbon Week and DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education).
 
Student Mediation Program:  students are trained each year to resolve conflict between peers.

Athletics:

We have four athletic teams:

Multi Media:

 
Mixed Matinee:  each spring students are invited to perform in a variety show which includes singing, dance, instrumental performance, and comedy.
 
School Newspaper:  students write and produce a monthly newspaper with articles and features of interest to the school community.
 
School Newscast:  each month, the mass media students produce a school news program that is simultaneously aired on all televisions throughout the school.
